Melody May Meadows: A spiritual late bloomer, emotional tornado, and vodka‑sipping writer who sabotages herself at every turn. Melody is at the end of countless years of being strung out with menopause, carer burnout, job loss, unhelpful therapy, multiple vice‑denials, unexpected disability, digestion issues, and very bad moods. She’s raw, worn down, and on the brink of collapse — which makes her epiphany all the more urgent and transformative.

Dunphee MacDuff: Bawdy, brawny, buffoonish — and somehow the voice of reason. Persuasive like a bagpipe in a library: loud, relentless, and impossible to ignore.
