The Clints Come Again (2018-2021)

An original 80s-inspired comedy cabaret about The Clints, an all-female Queensland cousin cover band making an unlikely tilt at Eurovision. Blending humour, heart, nostalgia, and fabulously daggy choreography, the show explored dreams deferred, family responsibilities, ageing disgracefully, and the courage to reinvent oneself.

Produced by E.G. Productions in association with Loxlea Creative. Presented at the Anywhere Theatre Festival, supported through RADF funding, toured Queensland through ArTour, completed two state tours, and performed at venues including the Redland Performing Arts Centre and Hayward Street Theatre.

The Gin & Sin Jazz Salon

The Gin & Sin Jazz Salon (2016 - 2018)

A stylish, musically driven jazz cabaret exploring the seven deadly sins and the guilty pleasures we all secretly enjoy. Blending tongue-in-cheek comedy, original jazz arrangements, and rich three-part vocal harmonies, Gin & Sin Jazz Salon reimagined everything from jazz standards and classic pop to contemporary favourites through a vintage speakeasy lens.

Created and led by Dr Laine Loxlea-Danann, alongside Alicia Cush, Zoe Georgakis, and acclaimed pianist and arranger Dave Spicer, the production combined the glamour of a 1950s cocktail lounge with the energy of contemporary cabaret. Featuring music inspired by artists including Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, The Kinks, and Postmodern Jukebox, audiences were invited to step into a playful world where the Andrews Sisters met AC/DC over a martini or two.

Winner of the Anywhere Festival Entertainment Prize and Perfect Venue Partnership Award, the production was also recognised as one of Urban Walkabout's Top 6 Festival Picks. Gin & Sin Jazz Salon was presented at the Anywhere Theatre Festival, Brisbane Jazz Club, Brisbane City Hall, The Retro Bar, and the Nambour Spring Festival.
