Meet Melody May Meadows: a spiritual late bloomer, emotional tornado, and vodka-sipping writer who’d rather be anywhere but here. Enter Dunphee MacDuff: bawdy, brawny, boorish, buffoonish, ballyhooed—and somehow the voice of reason. He’s persuasive like a bagpipe in a library: loud, relentless, and impossible to ignore.
Together, they mumble and stumble through trials, traumas, tantrums, tomfoolery, and topsy-turvy twists on a hilariously harrowing quest to the Scottish Highlands. Their destination? A rendezvous with the enigmatic Candle Man—who may or may not hold the key to Melody’s long-overdue epiphany.
